two in a row, of mini-albums and birthdays
backlog No.3 Eugenia & Roslyn
Since it's nearly the end of July I think I'd better finish up posting all my backlogs!
I'd say March of this year was probably the most eventful scrapping month ever.
First, I finally graduated from doing single-piece projects to albums.
In fact crafting mini albums from near scratch! This post will be rather long, so I won't be typing most of my paperstock out. Most of the large letters were Thickers, and the flowers all from Prima Marketing.
My first "album" was for a friend's 18th birthday.
A blackboard with pre-made holes for rope/mounting and used as a backing and I added pages to it accordingly.
The second was also for a friend's birthday (who happened to share the previous album with me)
Though within the span of 4 days, my confidence made a hugeee jump.
An unassuming black box with a red ribbon opened up to reveal..
I secured the mini-album for easy storage, I do hope she got a pleasant surprise when she opened it! I used Stickles glitter glue to accent the inner corners and edges of the box.
Details of the front, used a pearly paper flower and a chiffon flower, both from Prima Marketing.
The papers I used in this book were all heavier cardstock and were patterned on both sides, which saved me a lot of time and helped tie everything together too.
This page was supposed to be steampunk-inspired and look a bit like a clockface. Love the metal flowers from Tim Holtz
The next two pages had themes too, sorta a gothic- rocker-girl vibe and a japanesque page inspired by Wa-Lolita fashion
I really really love the Wa-Lolita page, it was SOOOOO fun to make! I used traditional japanse Yuzen origami paper and japanese stickers, and accented them with gold and lace. The little strings of hearts were from Midori Japan.
Anyway, the last pages were a panorama, and basically shouted HAPPY BIRTHDAAYYYY.
So that concludes my March backlog! There's one more entry before I'm back on track to posting "current" projects!
Till then!

BUSY AS A BEE
non-digital life is kinda getting the better of me
I know this blog sees about a post a week, maybe two at best, and I know it's kinda slow paced.
But at the current moment I'm really busy with things like my graduation show, planning, and other distractions.
So the blog might slow down a few more notches. Sorry guys D:
